The Director of Program Operations oversees the coordination of all aspects of refugee resettlement and case management programming, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities, while meeting the agency’s strategic goals and outcomes. This position involves a high level of planning, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills in order to effectively manage all aspects of a major service area that addresses a key part of the organization’s mission.
The Director will partner closely with executive leadership to effectively communicate strategy, indicators, and organizational changes internally and externally. Map strategic plans with appropriate level of detail to enable tactical implementation and benchmark success within budgetary guidelines. This includes establishing relationships with external stakeholders, partner agencies and our communities, as well as improving operations by developing structures, streamlining procedures, and increasing effectiveness by implementing proven best practices.

The candidate should have the following:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with preferred Master’s Degree relevant to operations management
• At least five years of supervisory/management experience
• Refugee Resettlement experience a plus
• Ability to lead and positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization
• Anticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations
• Strong project management skills, attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and maintain composure under demanding deadlines in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to develop new ways to improve operations of the department/program and to create new opportunities
• Problem solving skills; ability to assess problems, identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
• Understands ethical behavior and business practices, and ensures that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
