Based on the production needs within the department will, set up, operate and perform light programming of various CNC lathe machines according to customer specifications utilizing various machines and machining technology.

 

Responsibilities:

• Setup, run and, in some cases, program CNC turning machines.
• Inspects parts as required by the quality inspection plan.
• Reports any manufacturing issues to supervisor and/or quality department.
• Accurately completes job documentation as per company procedure and/or customer requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Perform work in an organized and productive manner to achieve target completion dates.
• Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.

 

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior contract manufacturing experience a plus.
• Ability to handle physical workload, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• 5+ years of prior experience in CNC turning (operate, setup and programming).
• Knowledge and experience using basic inspection tools (mics, calipers, gages, scale, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with shop math and trig.
• Familiarity of GD&T desired.
• Ability to edit G code (as appropriate)
