Remedy is a successful and growing urgent and wellness mobile medicine company operating in the Tri-Cities area that is expanding and looking for additional providers. Remedy currently provides both in-home urgent care visits in addition to wellness visits (IV fluids and micronutrients, IM micronutrient injections, testosterone replacement, peptide therapy, medically managed weight loss, and more). At Remedy we believe in the following principles:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The key duties and responsibilities of a Remedy Physician Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting/ identifying the patient & completing and documenting an accurate history and physical examination of patients; may include moving and positioning patients
- Conducting comprehensive or episodic health assessments and developing patient care plans
- Perform point of care tests including, but not limited to influenzas, Strep A, COVID-19 Ag, Mono, RSV, urine dipstick, etc.
- Ordering and interpreting tests, treatments, and therapies within the scope of an urgent care practice
- Prescribing medications, diet, supplies, splints, and other home health aides or medication according to clinical privileges
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding the total treatment plan & therapeutic regimes
- Provide printed information regarding the diagnosis
- Obtaining or confirming the patient’s insurance information (Can our system obtain this first and have an ancillary staff check this before the visit? My intakeq system requires them to submit it when they schedule their first visit with us. Visits are not confirmed until they submit new patient information and consent forms).
- Providing clear, concise, and accurate information regarding patient care in the medical record.
- If the patient’s condition is more urgent, proper referral to the nearest Emergency Department, or if a medical emergency, providing assistance with calling 911
- Providing accurate and concise information regarding the treatment offered for Wellness Visits
- Providing a clear explanation of the wellness treatment and the understanding that these treatments are not covered by insurance
- Obtaining payment at the time of service for Wellness V
- Documentation of the Urgent Care or Wellness Visits within the Remedy EMR system within 48 hours of the patient visit
Education and experience:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Washington State Physician Assistant License, current
- Current certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is preferred
- Current CPR and BLS from the American Heart Association
- Two years prior experience in an Urgent Care setting is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced physical assessment, ability to work independently, and critical thinking skills required.
- Ability to listen and interact with patients with empathy, communicate verbally and in writing
- Required: Comprehensive knowledge of suture repair, splinting, lesion removal, foreign body removal from skin, abscess incision and drainage, nail avulsion, wound management, venous access, subcutaneous and intramuscular injection, instruments use and cleaning, equipment and supplies as they relate to an urgent care setting. Standards of Care are expected with all patient encounters
- Unrestricted Washington State Driver’s License
- Background check with no traffic violations in the last 2 years
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work will be performed in the home of the patient, at the client’s office, or in the Remedy Mobile Vehicle. This requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is required to sit for long periods of time, stand and walk, walk up and down flights of stairs, carry supplies up and down stairs, squat, and kneel to perform portions of an exam as needed, bend and stretch. Use of telephone and computer is required. Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs. on the back and up to 40 pounds in the hands. May requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
