The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of OverDrive facilities and property. This will include, but not be limited to, maintenance of items throughout the building, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, carpentry, kitchen and office supply inventory, and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that kitchens, copy rooms, conference rooms, common rooms and storage areas are kept tidy daily.
- Maintain storage and organization of facility supplies.
- Assist HR Coordinator with event preparations and tear down.
- Coordinate receipt and internal delivery of shipments.
- Maintain inventory of building and office keys.
- Assist with general maintenance tasks to support the facility and grounds. Resolve Blue Sky Requests (submitted by employees via company Intranet) as assigned in CMMS in a timely manner.
- Perform lawn and property maintenance (i.e., litter / debris removal, snow removal, salting of sidewalks and parking lot, etc.).
- Assist with recycling program.
- Assist with building security operations as directed.
- Assemble furniture or other items for the building and/or property.
- Assemble, retrieve, and report data pertaining to programs
- Perform administrative and record keeping functions for the team
- Adhere to and function within established policies and procedures, assuring all aspects of a safe working environment for employees and customers
- Explore, identify, and participate in initiatives, processes and procedures to improve operational efficiencies while assuring quality within policies
- Interact with internal staff members to refer/resolve problems associated with assigned work activities
- Maintain awareness and make use of continuous quality improvement tools
- Responsible for 0-1 field of specialization
- Promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse team members.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities operations.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Strong communication skills, ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize work with a strong attention to detail and efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-directed with ability to see to completion facilities related projects.
- Valid driver’s license.
