Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include providing exemplary bookkeeping services to clients. QuickBooks experience is a must. Some travel is required to client locations in addition to remote work.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Creating a superior service experience for our clients by building connections, sharing product knowledge and acting with urgency
· Work effectively with other team members to ensure fulfillment of client expectations and service needs
· Promptly and effectively addressing and resolving client issues, requests, or complaints to client’s satisfaction
· Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
· Maintain system to account for financial transactions within established chart of accounts; adhere to defined bookkeeping policies and procedures.
· Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
· Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
· Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
· Maintain historical records by filing documents.
· Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Identify issues and/or discrepancies, investigate to determine the cause, and propose solutions when appropriate.
Knowledge, Competency and Behavioral Attributes and Requirements
· 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
· Proven competency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online versions
· Experience with combined excise tax returns through Department of Revenue
· Professional, dependable, courteous and friendly, with a true desire to help our clients
· Prioritize, self disciplined, ability to project and schedule workload accordingly
· Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task under pressure while meeting deadlines
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to communicate effectively with a broad array of people and personalities
· Ability to learn new systems and information
· Ability to be at work on time and to minimize outside distractions to work day
· Ability to pass a criminal background check
