Founded in 2002, POM has handled more than 2,000 site installations, primarily focused on large offices, retail, hospitality, health care, education, and real estate (commercial, luxury residential and hi-rise).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide security system service support.
- Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot and perform repairs as necessary on security systems.
- Respond to and resolve assigned service tickets, responding to email inquiries, as well as responding to incoming calls on our support line
- Bench test and repair DVRs and CPUs. Secure Return Authorizations from manufacturer repair/replacement.
- Maintain accurate records of all remote access databases for DVR, Access Control and Alarm systems. this includes contacting customer IT personnel to update and correct any changes.
- Provide phone support for customers and technicians on installed systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Highly PC literate and able to learn new software and systems quickly
- Must have an understanding of CCTV, Access Control, Information Technologies and/or other electronic/low voltage control systems.
- Experience with multiple versions of Windows would be preferred.
- Previous experience with remote management tools is a plus. An understanding of basic TCP/IP networking and Windows networks is ideal
- Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills are a must for this role.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Previous experience with user support or customer service would be preferred.
