Full-Time position as a Fiber Optic Technician conducting routine and emergency maintenance tasking on Metropolitan Fiber Optic networks. Conducts technical tasks outdoor and in varying environmental conditions. Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a team. Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs and operate aerial-equipped vehicles. Must be able to interpret technical drawings and other documentation. Experience in fiber optic cable preparation, termination, and testing. Must be experienced in operation of Light source/Power Meter, OTDR, VFL, and other specialized testing equipment. Must be proficient in fusion splicing single fibers as well as ribbon. Minimum 2+ years experience conducting fiber optic installation of cabling, panels, and splice closures.
