Position: Part-Time Field Organizer

Qualifications

• Passionate about electing progressives
• Prior experience as an organizer or volunteer in political, labor, or community organizing is preferred but not necessary
• Live in CT-01 or very strong connection to the district and can travel to the district
• Able to implement feedback quickly and effectively
• High emotional intelligence & commitment to the dignity of those volunteering their time

 

Responsibilities

• Help grow our movement by reaching voters through door knocking and phone/text banking
• Take a relationship-based organizing approach for identifying, recruiting, and developing volunteer leaders to lead phonebanks, door-to-door canvassing, and other critical campaign efforts
• Timely and accurate daily database entry and internal reporting
• Maintain a progressive campaign culture driven by the needs of the most impacted by injustice in society, a high standard of professionalism, and 100% punctuality

 

Location: CT-01 (Berlin, Bloomfield, Bristol, East Granby, East Hartford, East Windsor, Glastonbury, Granby, Hartford, Hartland, Manchester, Newington, Rocky Hill, Southington, South Windsor, West Hartford, Wethersfield, Windsor, Windsor Locks, Cromwell, Middletown, Portland, Barkhamsted, Colebrook, New Hartford, Torrington, and Winchester.)

Salary: $15/hour
