Description of role

Do you love driving a truck but hate the nights spent away from home? You might flourish in our open position for a local Truck Driver.  We are looking for Class A CDL Drivers to haul MSW (Municipal Solid Waste consisting of residential and industrial waste) from transfer stations to landfills in the Mableton, GA area.  We maintain our entire fleet with dedicated precision, so we retain control over our vehicles. We provide a predictable schedule and  pay weekly.

Responsibilities 

• Operates Company provided vehicle in accordance with CEI Safety policies, OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws

• Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
• Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
• Notifies Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
• Positions containers on the customer’s property in an upright position not blocking driveway or traffic.
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
• Perform all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and take appropriate action as needed.
• Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD.
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable Class A Driving Experience OR be a graduate of a certified Class A driving school
• Tractor trailer experience in last 6 months
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 5 years
• No DWI/DUI in the last 5 years
• No serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
