Skills Required

• General skills using MIG welding equipment
• Experience with tack and structural welding methods
• Knowledge of weld repair and grinding

Tools Used

• Pulse and short-circuit MIG welders
• Power tools including angle grinders, sanders, drills and screw guns
• Tape measure and rules

Job Duties and Procedures

• Perform tack welds on non-critical joints per drawing and blueprints
• Repair and grind welds
• Assist with installation of fire walls, insulation and sheet metal skins
• Coat sump bottoms and other surfaces with red oxide primer
