The Human Resources Assistant supports all the members of the Human Resources Department with recruiting, new hire orientations, benefits administration, maintaining employee data in ADP Workforce Now (“HRIS database”), filing, and organizing work activities for the Firm. The Human Resources Assistant plays an active role in formulating methods to improve employment policies, processes and recommending suggestions to the Human Resources department.
The Human Resources Assistant may be required to perform any or all the following essential duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leave of absences) in both paper and the HRIS database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
- Respond to internal and external Human Resources inquiries and requests, provide assistance and direct inquiries to appropriate contacts as needed.
- Liaise with all other departments at the Firm.
- Support the recruitment and hiring process
- Assist onboarding by coordinating new hire training schedules, assist with new hire orientations; review new hire documents for accuracy, and maintain employee records in our HRIS database
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, etc.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR Files and records
- Performs audits of the HR files to ensure that all required documents are collected, scanned and added to employee files in the HRIS database and filed appropriately
- Ability to answer frequently asked questions relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes
- Assist with completion of compensation surveys.

Experience/Education
- 1 year of administrative or internship experience
- Certificate in Human Resources a plus
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
Customer Service Skills
The Human Resources Assistant operates in a service department environment and must be familiar with the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. The incumbent must possess above average customer service skills in order to satisfy these expectations.
