The Facilities Assessment Consultant is responsible for performing visual inspections and equipment inventory of facilities related building systems (electrical, mechanical and architectural (structural) on a national basis preparing detailed reports and analysis of their findings for client personnel. Inspections may include energy and or sustainability evaluations.
Interact with client facilities management staff to ascertain necessary information.
Review and utilize client documentation during inspection process (drawings, studies, maintenance logs, etc)
Develop cost estimates for facilities replacement costs and/or corrective measures
Document finding using web based software
Qualifications: PREFERRED OR MID Level Experience...see below
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical), or Architectural, Structural, Facility/Construction Management
5+ years of facilities engineering, operations, design, construction and/or facilities management experience
Multi-discipline knowledge of building systems including architectural, structural, mechanical (HVAC and plumbing), electrical systems and/or site utilities
Knowledge and experience applying ICC (IBC, IMC, IPC,) NEC and ADA codes and standards to existing buildings.
Proven ability to evaluate facility/system conditions and conduct lifecycle analysis and identify deficiencies with corrective cost estimates
Professional Registrations (PE or Registered Architects)
Junior Level
2+ years working experience in the fields of asset management, equipment inventory, field operations, design and construction and customer service
2+ years working with laptops, cameras, and mobile PC devices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Web browsers)
Proficient in written and verbal communication and ability to work with all levels of the organization
