Summary of Work
NDIT provides specialized technology and support services administering and implementing a variety of enterprise servers and applications. These functions include design, development, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems, network administration, computer hardware and software support. The Associate System Administrator must be able to make sound decisions with minimal guidance, stay current with trends and changes in the area of technical expertise and related areas. The successful candidate will focus on the North Dakota public school’s identity management system along with the student information systems. The Associate System Administrator also possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate individuals and create a strong team environment. This position primarily works to provide technical administration and support for servers running on the Windows operating system along with agency specific applications.
Duties and Tasks
• Support, administer and maintain Windows Server operating systems
• Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting language
• Knowledge of Network security
• Proficient with Active Directory and Microsoft’s Identity Management system
• Perform server software installations, configurations and upgrades
Minimum Qualifications
Requires one of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science computer or management information systems, or a closely related field that included computer science coursework.
• Associate degree in a computer related field and three years of current, progressive, and specialized work experience supporting, administering and implementing complex, enterprise servers and applications
