Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are searching for an experienced Chemist II as a full-time Regular Employee to join the Reedy Creek Improvement District!

 

Position Summary:
Perform functions to conduct analyses using approved methods and following appropriate quality assurance protocols, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and analyze chemistry samples following EPA standard methods. Create reagents and standards for all samples.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all hazardous chemical risks. Follow safety protocols with all activities in the laboratory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of current policies and regulations. Assure compliance with all applicable NELAC/RCID Environmental Science Laboratory Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Review and enter data into Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Follow standard procedures to accurate calibrate laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Monitor equipment and report and problems detected.

Other Duties:

  • Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Competency:

  • Knowledge of NELAC/RCID Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Lab Information Management System, and other required programs.
  • Knowledge of EPA regulations and SOPs for sample analysis

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry or related physical or natural science.
  • Minimum one year of experience in sample collection and chemical analysis.
  • Regular, dependable attendance required.

Driving Requirements:
Must possess a valid Florida State Driver's license and maintain eligibility under the District's commercial vehicle program.

Physical Demands:
While engaging in the duties of this position the Employee performs lifting and/or carrying of up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently. Employee sits constantly. Employee stands and walks occasionally. Employee occasionally bends/stoops/crouches, pushes/pulls, climbs/balances and crawls. Employee uses their hand(s)/arm(s) to reach in any direction and seize, grasp, hold and turn object using hand(s). Employee uses fingers, versus whole hand, to pick, pinch and feel objects. Employee sees, talk and hear as they communicate with others.

Employee will operate motor vehicle(s) that involve the use of hand/foot controls.

 

The wage range for this position is $44,657.00 - 59,542.00 annually.
