Barbara Infrared, Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of a part-time IT Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and installing hardware and software under the guidance of SBIR’s Senior Systems/Network Administrator.
Responsibilities:
The IT Technician will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing computer problems
- Monitoring computer processing systems
- Installing software
- Performing tests on computer equipment and programs
- Setting up computer equipment
- Scheduling maintenance
- Teaching clients to use programs
- Minor repairs
- Ordering computer parts
Requirements/Experience:

Strong knowledge of computers and how they operate
- A broad understanding of hardware and software, operating systems and basic computer programing
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, Internet applications and security
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently while managing various tasks simultaneously and when assigned a task, able to meet requested deadlines
